  • FORMOSAT-7/COSMIC-2 (COSMIC-2) Science Mission
  • Carbon Monitoring Tower

The Centre is far advanced to acquire and set up a flux tower. This flux tower will be able to determine exchange rates of carbon dioxide between the forests and the atmosphere. The information gathered plays into the debate on the measurable effects of climate change.

  • FORMOSAT-7/COSMIC-2 (COSMIC-2) Science Mission

The FORMOSAT–7/COSMIC -2 mission will eventually launch twelve satellites, beginning with the first launch in 2016 and the second in 2018. These satellites will collect atmospheric data that would improve regional and global weather forecasting. This programme is supported by NOAA (www.noaa.gov ) and the National Space Organization of Taiwan (www.nspo.narl.org.tw/en/ ).
