Prof Harrison Dapaah, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has paid a courtesy call on the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon Eric Opoku at his Office.
The visit by Prof Dappah, who was accompanied by Messrs A.K Boateng, Registrar, Ben Appiah-Kubi, University Relations Officer, David Twumasi Ankrah and Prince Awuah, Junior Assistant Registrars, was to afford the University, the opportunity to introduce its newly appointed Chief Executive Officer to the Regional Minister and the Brong Ahafo Regional Co-ordinating Council.
Introducing Prof Dapaah to the Minister, Mr A.K. Boateng, Registrar of UENR described the Vice Chancellor as a son of the region with a vision to transform the University into a top class institution.
On his part, the Vice-Chancellor who described the University as an institution with a lot of potentials assured the Minister of his preparedness to work with the Regional Co-ordinating Council and solicited for the support of the Minister and the Council for the next four years.
Responding, the Regional Minister thanked the Vice-Chancellor and his entourage for the honour and assured the Vice Chancellor that the Co-ordinating Council was prepared to offer support to the University and encouraged the Vice-Chancellor to work hard to transform the UENR into a world class university.
