The University Community is hereby invited to a Public Lecture by Mr. Henry Antwi on the theme: “The Small-Scale Mining Industry as a Catalyst for Sustainable Economic and Social Development” on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the University Auditorium at 11.00 am.
Mr. Antwi is an Australian-based experienced Mining Engineer and Mineral Economist with a demonstrated history of working in the mining and metals industry. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (The AusIMM) and 2021 AusIMM Resource Sector award recipient in recognition of consistent and significant contribution to the ongoing success of AusIMM and the resources sector.
His work experience is reflective of his education in its diversity. He has traveled quite extensively and worked in various roles in Ghana, the United States, England, Canada, Australia, and the Sultanate of Oman spanning from mining engineering, mineral economics, operational improvement, consulting, mergers and acquisitions, mining policy, and investment analysis.
Strong project development and stakeholder engagement professional and a result-oriented individual with excellent influencing, negotiations, and communications skills. A team player who has worked with diverse cultures. A great deal of resilience and resourcefulness with excellent influencing skills. He has a pleasant disposition and is proactive with providing technical support to governments, in addition to professional development and mentorship to industry professionals.
