A five day training workshop on understanding DVB-S2, DVB-T2 and DVB-H in Satellite Technology has ended at the University of Energy and Natural Resources.
The training program organized by the Earth Observation Research and Innovation Centre (EORIC) of the University was meant to train participants to acquire basic knowledge and practical skills on how to install the Digital Video Broadcast-Satellite (DVB-S2) and Digital Video Broadcast-Terrestrial (DVB-T2) systems.
The program which was attended by 29 participants made up of students, lecturers and satellite installers treated topics such as Introduction to Satellite Technology, transmission Chain and Practical Training on DVB-S2, DVB-T2 and DVB-H.
Closing the workshop, Dr. Mark Amo-Boateng of EORIC underscored the importance of satellite technology to the modern society and encouraged the participants who were mostly from academic institutions who want to become satellite engineers to take the training seriously.
The five day training program was facilitated by Mr. Evans Yaw Adom (Lead facilitator and Coordinator), Mr. Ellogah Trinity Quashie and Nana Ekow Sey.
