Mr. Gabriel Owusu-Ansah is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani in the Bono region of Ghana. He is in the Department of Languages and General Studies, School of Arts and Social Sciences. He teaches French as a General course, and his area of specialization is Translation. He holds a Master of Philosophy in French (Translation) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), Bachelor of Education, French from the University of Education, Winneba as well as ‘A’ 3-Year Teacher Certificate from Wesley College, Kumasi. He is currently pursuing a PhD programme in French at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Mr. Owusu-Ansah has taught French language in almost all the levels of Education in Ghana. Before joining UENR, he taught French at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in Kumasi. Aside teaching in the basic school, he taught at the senior High school level: Kumasi High School and Opoku Ware School.
Apart from teaching and doing research, his area of interest is translation. He translates across languages, especially, French, English and Twi. His research focuses on language, teaching and culture.
He is very organized, self-confident and has strong communication skills and good sense of humor.
