Ing. Dr. Kofi Asamoah Adu-Poku is a lecturer at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of Energy and Natural Resources, (UENR) Sunyani, Ghana. He holds a Ph.D. in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from the National Research Center of Pumps, Jiangsu University, China. He received his Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Mathematics and Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He earned his Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the same University (KNUST) whilst specializing in thermos fluids and energy systems. He also has a diploma in Education from the University of Education, Winneba.
Dr. Adu-Poku has more than 13 years teaching and research experience from the field of academia and industry. He teaches different courses at the university such as Introduction to Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics I and II, Fluid Mechanics and Applications, Fluid Machinery, Behavior of Real Fluids, Heat Transfer, Hydraulics and Pneumatics and several among others.
Dr. Adu-Poku does research in Numerical simulations, Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Turbulence modeling, Unsteady flow in pumps, Pressure fluctuations, Vortex in pumps, Design optimization, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer enhancement, and Renewable Energy Systems.
He has over 25 publications mostly indexed in web of science with over 300 citations.
