HOW TO APPLY

All prospective applicants must read the Application Guidelines & Entry Requirements attached on Programme Requirements, How to Apply, and any other important information about the University.  Prospective applicants must only begin the application process after carefully reading the instructions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (Summary)
DIPLOMA AND UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
  1. WASSCE and SSSCE holders with credit passes (A1-C6)/(A-D) respectively in three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies, and three (3) elective subjects relevant to the programme of study.
  2. ADVANCED BUSINESS CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (ABCE) holders with passes in three (3) compulsory subjects plus three (3) optional subjects relevant to the Programme of study.
  3. GENERAL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE (GBCE) holders with credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
  4. ADVANCED LEVEL holders with credit in at least Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English and Mathematics, plus at least two passes in the subjects relevant to the programme of study.
  5. HND Holders with three (3) years’ relevant working experience in addition to the minimum entry requirements at WASSCE/SSSCE or Five (5) GCE O’ Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics.
  6. FOREIGN APPLICANTS who have any of the above qualifications or their equivalences from an accredited/recognised institution.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Other qualifications acceptable for consideration include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, American Grade 13 Examinations and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels).

NB: International students must submit their certificates to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for evaluation and attach the report (s) to the application form.

 2-Year Diploma Programmes

  • WASSCE and SSSCE holders with passes (A1-D7)/(A-E) respectively in three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies, and three (3) elective subjects relevant to the programme of study.

Mature Applicants

Applicants must:

  • be at least 25 years old and show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth. pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by the institution itself (English Language, Mathematics, and an Aptitude Test). Possess any of the following:
  • SSSCE/WASSCE, Teacher’s Cert. ‘A’ NVTI/NABPTEX Certificates

2023 WASSCE CANDIDATES

2023 WASSCE candidates can also apply. Such applicants must select “Awaiting Results” in place of the grade in the online application portal.
