The Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Sciences was established in August 2016 under the School of Natural Resources, but it is currently the flagship department of the School of Management Sciences and Law. Its primary aim is to provide creative and innovative entrepreneurship education at the degree and diploma levels.
Programmes
BSc. Resource Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is a four-year degree programme that provides students with a strong foundation in business and also seeks to develop students’ analytical, teaching and entrepreneurial skills to enable them take optimal socio-economic decisions and conduct research.
Objectives of the Programme
The general objective of this programme is to provide a broader perspective to our students in the study of entrepreneurship and business sciences to increase their appreciation, understanding and analysis of issues. The programme also aims to provide students with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills suitable for academic discipline as well as transferable skills that are required in the work place. The programme is enriched by the provision of empirical entrepreneurial skills that are key to applying creativity and innovative thinking in our increasingly data-driven world.
Admission Requirements:
Admission into the Diploma Programme
WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants must possess any of the following:
SSSCE applicants: Applicants must possess passes (A-E) in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies) and three (3) electives relevant to the choice of the programme.
WASSCE applicants with passes (A1-D7) in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies) plus credit in three (3) elective subjects relevant to the choice of programme.
Ordinary Level (‘O’ Level) certificate with passes (1-8) in at least five (5) subjects including English and Mathematics
Foreign Applicants:
Foreign Qualifications: Foreign qualifications acceptable for consideration for admission include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, GCSE, American Grade 13 examinations and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels). Any other foreign certificate must be evaluated by the applicant at the National Accreditation Board and the evaluation report attached to the application.

SSSCE Applicants
Applicants must have passes (A-D) in three (3) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies. The applicant must in addition possess passes in three (3) elective e subjects relevant to the choice of programme. These shall include Biology/General Agriculture/Forestry, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, Geography and Management and Living.
WASSCE Applicants
Applicants must have (A1-C6) in three (3) core subjects comprising English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and three (3) elective subjects relevant to the choice of programme. These comprise Biology/General Agriculture/Forestry, Geography, Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Management in Living.
Applicants with Foreign Certificates
Qualifications acceptable for consideration for admission include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, GCSE, American Grade 13 examinations and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels).
Foreign certificates shall be evaluated by the applicant at the National Accreditation Board and attach the evaluation report to the application.
