The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has received a cheque of Twenty-one Thousand Three Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 21,300) from Zenith Bank Ghana in support of the University’s 10th Anniversary Celebration. The presentation was done by two representatives from the Bank, Mr. Julius Kwayie-Mensah, the Branch Head and Ms. Bernice Owusu-Agyemang, Relationship Manager of the Sunyani Branch on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Elvis Asare-Bediako in receiving the cheque expressed his appreciation to the entire Management of Zenith Bank Ghana and especially the Sunyani Branch for their generosity and continues support to the university. “This act of your generosity as a Bank to the university is not just a gist but a catalyst to strengthen our partnership, and encourage us to do business together for our mutual benefits”, the Vice-Chancellor acknowledged.
In his remarks, Mr. Julius Kwayie-Mensah appreciated the good relationship that had existed between the University and the Bank. He noted that the donation by the Bank exemplifies its commitment in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, which is a core tenet of the bank’s philosophy.
Present at the meeting were the Chairman of the 10th Anniversary Planning Committee, Prof. Simon Abugre; the Deputy Registrar and Head of URO, Mr. Alfred Ohenenana Appiah; Mr. Stephen Yaw Ntimoah, Deputy Director of Finance and Mr. Alex Amerh Abgeshie, a Member of the 10th Anniversary Planning Committee.
