In unity and solidarity, the University Chaplaincy hosted a Peace Choralfest on campus, bringing together members of the University Community to celebrate the spirit of Easter and promote peace towards the upcoming 2024 general elections of Ghana.

Giving the Easter message on behalf of Management, the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Georgina Asi Owusu underscored the transformative power of music in fostering human connection and emotional healing. Her speech resonated deeply with the audience: “Easter holds profound significance for Christians around the world. It symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, hope over despair. As we gather here tonight, surrounded by the uplifting melodies of the choir, let us pause to reflect on the true essence of this sacred season”.

She inspired that the rolled-away stone serves as a powerful metaphor for liberation – a reminder that no obstacle is insurmountable in the presence of faith and resilience. “Each of us carries our burdens, whether it be the pressures of work, the challenges of marriage, or the pursuit of academic excellence. But amidst these trials, we find solace in the knowledge that we are not alone”, she added.

The Registrar further noted that just as Christ conquered death and emerged victorious, so too can we overcome adversity and find peace in our lives. By surrendering oneself to the teachings of Jesus, a pathway is unlocked to inner tranquillity and fulfillment. She urged all to strive to emulate Christ’s example, extending compassion, forgiveness, and understanding to those around us admonishing all to remember the importance of fairness and justice in all dealings as the general election approaches.
