Cosmas Rai Amenorvi is a Research Fellow in the Quality Assurance and Academic Planning Directorate of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, Ghana. He teaches Critical Thinking, Academic Writing and Communication Skills in the Department of Languages and General Studies of the same university. He has been teaching and investigating English, Linguistics, Literature, and Communication for close to a score of years now. He couples as a poet, language editor, and proof-reader. He believes that language as a phenomenon holds a key to understanding humanity and the world around us. His research interests are in the areas of English, Sociolinguistics, Semantics, Discourse Analysis, Contact Linguistics, Language and Identity, Minority Languages, Urban Studies and Youth Language.
