Dr. Nicholas Oppong Mensah is a Lecturer and Postgraduate Coordinator at School of Agriculture and Technology, University of Energy and Natural Resources. He is also the program coordinator for MPhil / MBA Agribusiness at Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and Extension.
Dr. Oppong Mensah is adaptive and result-oriented individual with remarkable problem-solving skills. With passion and enthusiasm, he provides innovative solutions to challenges confronting organizations and humanity. He is: flexible, innovative and a strategic thinker with a wealth of experiences in academia, insurance agric Insurance and hospitality industries, where he worked as a receptionist, industrial relations officer, marketing officer, corporate strategist, Regional Manager, Project Manager, lecturer and a postgraduate coordinator. His encounter with these multicultural and multitasking environments which has taught him to celebrate diversity, confront inequalities, merge theory with practice and has subsequently become FATS (Faithful, Available, Teachable and Serviceable).
Dr. Oppong Mensah, holds a PhD Agribusiness Management and MBA marketing and Corporate Strategy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, MPhil Agribusiness from the university of Ghana, Legon ,BSc (Hons) Chemistry, from university of Cape Coast, Diploma in Education from the university of Education, Winneba as well as a Diploma in Applied insurance Studies jointly awarded by Ghana Insurance College and Malta International Training Centre.
His research interest span from: e-commerce, insurance, argic insurance, risk management, Investments, pensions, marketing, total quality management, agricultural tax, food banking, food marketing, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and agribusiness value and supply chains.
Dr. Oppong Mensah has consulted for a number of organizations including Ghana Agricultural Insurance Pool (GAIP), Food and Agriculture Organizations (FAO)’s Farmer Field Schools. Ghana Poultry Project (GPP) as well as the Government of Ghana and Italy Okuafo-Pa agribusiness project at Kyeremasu in the Bono Region of Ghana.
