Ing. Lewis Ofori Amankona is a lecturer and PhD researcher at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), specializing in renewable energy engineering, sustainability, Food-Energy-Water (FEW) nexus, and Zero Emission Concept for Urban Resilience. Currently pursuing a PhD in Sustainable Energy Management focusing on developing integrated management strategies to enhance urban resilience and achieve zero-emission goals.
With a strong interest in energy resources assessment, small hydropower development, and FEW nexus, Lewis has contributed to various scholarly works and community engagement.
Beyond academia, Lewis engages in consultancy in energy systems design, energy policy, and sustainable development. Lewis has also been actively involved in students’ welfare advocacy and leadership, serving as the UENR SRC General Secretary (2015/16), GRASAG UENR Secretary (2018/19), Global Alumni Chairman, UENR (2018-2025), and a Member of the University Governing Council (2018-2025).
Lewis has been involved in international collaborations and projects, including the ZECURA and ImPRESSion projects.
