Assistant Lecturer

An Assistant Lecturer of the Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, UENR, Sunyani, teaching ,conducting research and supervising students research in relevant Petroleum & Reservoir engineering areas including Fluid flow in Porous Medium, Green Enhance Oil Recovery (GEOR), Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS), Energy Transition.
A well- trained Petroleum Reservoir Engineer who is inclined to bridge the industry-academia gap. He had industrial experience offshore on drilling rigs during the Phase 1-Development of the Jubilee Field. He also had the opportunity to be trained in production operation at Saltpond Field aboard the production platform the Mr. Louie.
His research is tailored towards developing models to solve complex challenges confronting the oil and gas industry. Thus providing a fast, cheap and reliable technique of addressing the industrial problems. He has publications in top-tier journals.
Ing. Kwamena Opoku Duartey holds BSc Petroleum Engineering from KNUST, Kumasi and MSc Petroleum Engineering from Politecnico Di Torino, Italy
