Miriam Linda Akeriwe holds a PhD in Information Sciences from the University of South Africa; a Master of Information Technology Degree Technology Degree (specialising in ICT applications in libraries) from the University of Pretoria; a first degree in Information Studies and a Diploma in Librarianship from the University of Ghana. She has also attended short courses on the effective application of ICTs in libraries, as well as conducted research which was either presented at both local and international conferences or published in reputable academic journals.
She is a member of the following professional associations: Ghana Library Association (GLA), University Librarians Ghana, and the Academic and Research Libraries Committee of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (ARL/IFLA). She represents the GLA on the Research4Life project in Ghana.
Her research interests include the application of ICTs in libraries, modern trends in academic libraries, Institutional repository management, electronic resources management and the application of AI in academic research.
