“Francis Kwame Bukari received his BSc Actuarial Science degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, in 2014. He was awarded a Master of Philosophy degree in Actuarial Science, in 2017. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Actuarial Science at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
He has been with the Mathematics and Statistics Department of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, since August 2018, and plays a role in the day to day activities of the Department. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
Francis Kwame Bukari is passionate about the value of Actuarial Science and Statistical thinking, and the use of Actuarial techniques as a means for improving decision making. He collaborates with other scientists from engineering, building and construction, hospitality and natural resources.
As an inspiring researcher, I have also guided the research work of many students in many areas of actuarial, statistics, investment and finance.
Also, I have taught a lot of actuarial and statistics courses (e.g. life contingencies, risk theory, theory of interest, pension mathematics, general insurance business, probability and statistics, statistical methods, etc) at the undergraduate levels.
His passion is to make students understand the subject matter. He has a number of publications in a refereed journals and has published seven (7) articles in the Actuarial, Statistics and Finance literature.”
