Mr. David Twumasi-Ankrah attended Christ the King Snr High School, Obuasi, and proceeded to the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Rural Development with Sociology as a minor (2011), Commonwealth Executive Masters in Public Administration (2015) and a Master of Philosophy in Educational Innovations and Leadership Science (2021). He also holds a Professional Certificate in Public Relations from the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana.
David Twumasi-Ankrah joined the service of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in September 2012 as a Senior Administrative Assistant and has risen through the ranks of a Junior Assistant Registrar (Foundation Graduate School Secretary) Assistant Registrar (Ag. Head, University Relations Office) Assistant Registrar (Ag. Head, General Administration Division). His knowledge and skill in PR and Resource Mobilisation enabled him to the establishment of University Radio (Greena FM) and managed it soundly from 2013 to August 2021. In 2017, he was appointed by the President of the Republic of Ghana to serve as a Member of the Government of Ghana Scholarship (Sunyani West Scholarship) Selection Board.
Mr. Twumasi-Ankrah has also served either as Secretary or Member of high-profile committees of UENR including Prof S. Odai’s Statutes Review Committee, Prof Obeng Ofori’s Kenyasi Campus Establishment, etc. He is a Public Administrator by Training and Programs and Events Management by profession. As a university administrator, Mr. Twumasi-Ankrah has attended and participated in several workshops/seminars on Higher Education Institution operation and management He is a strong team player, a dynamic university administrator with extensive experience in events organization and management, programme moderation and facilitation, sponsorships and resource mobilization and affable leadership style have helped in promoting the mandate of the university. Mr. Twumasi-Ankrah has several memoranda, position papers, and publications that have led to change management to his credit.
