ASSISTANT LECTURER
Arts and Social Sciences
I am a young gentleman who is very organized, self-confident and a good team player and leader. I have strong communication skills, good sense of humor, and can work under pressure to getting the job well done. My objective is to pursue a career that will help me broaden my scope in the field of knowledge and to create an avenue for me to learn new things and also help my employers achieve their vision.
I have taught french language for 17 years at various levels of education in Ghana (Junior High School, Senior High School and at the University). My passion for languages has helped me establish myself as a translator in three main languages: French, English and Twi. Outside teaching and doing research, translation is a key thing that I do. I have written one French book for primary schools with Solid Rock Publications (currently pending approval at the National Council for Curriculum at Assessment).
Apart from teaching in the classroom, I have organised students for different education trips. Cultural troupes and debate clubs in schools that I have worked benefited immensely from my expertise.
I am currently working on some papers and I have the hope to publish at least three by the end of 2021. My quest to remain in academia has encouraged me to pursue a PhD program in French at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. I am hoping to complete in the year 2024. I have the vision to do more research and publications within the period and even beyond.
Aside being an assistant examiner at the West African Examination Council (WASSCE/ BECE), I have got the passion for music. I handle two church choirs and I also play the organ.”
