Mudasiru Mahama is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Geography and Sustainability Sciences of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR). His experience and skills span across Energy/renewable energy policy and markets and development planning. Prior to joining UENR, he served as a Research Constant for IMANI AFRICA, where he consulted on a wide range of projects including; Local Government Expenditure Tracking and Management of Metropolitans, Municipals and District Assemblies and Innovation in Public Service Delivery under the Inspirational Public-Sector Leadership Awards’ project. Mudasiru’s current areas of research interest include electricity market designs for regional integration, energy/renewable policies, and energy communities. He is also serving as Sustainable Energy Consultant for Dataking Consulting. Mudasiru has undertaking short courses in Financial Modeling of Renewable Energy Projects, Renewable Energy, The Hidden Side of Energy Access: Understanding Clean Cooking, etc.
He is currently a PhD candidate of the University of Energy and Natural Resources. He also holds an MSc in Energy Policy and a BSc in Planning from the Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences, Algeria and the University for Development Studies, Ghana respectively.
