Planning and Sustainability
Mudasiru Mahama is a dedicated academic and researcher with experience in teaching, research, and policy analysis in sustainability, energy management, and planning. He is currently a Lecturer at the University of Energy and Natural Resources, where he plays a pivotal role in lecturing, mentoring, and conducting impactful research with the Department of Geography and Sustainability Science.
With a robust educational background that includes an MSc in Energy Policy from the Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences and ongoing PhD studies in Sustainable Energy and Management, Mudasiru is well-versed in energy policy, renewable energy systems, and sustainable development. His scholarly work includes peer-reviewed publications on greenhouse gas emissions reduction, circular economy transitions, and urban commons planning, which highlight his commitment to addressing critical environmental and energy challenges.
Beyond academia, Mudasiru has demonstrated his expertise through consultancy roles, where he has contributed to national initiatives such as the 2021 Population and Housing Census, projects with Imani Center for Policy and Education where he previously served as Research Consultant and Centre for Environmental Management and Sustainable Energy where serves a Research Fellow. His professional experience encompasses training, field supervision, and community engagement, showcasing his ability to bridge academic insights with practical applications.
Mudasiru is passionate about fostering sustainable energy solutions, empowering communities, and advancing knowledge in planning and sustainability. His commitment to excellence, combined with his collaborative mindset, positions him as a key contributor to addressing global sustainability challenges.
