UENR TEAM ON THE PARTNERSHIP FOR ENHANCED AND BLENDED LEARNING IN WEST AFRICA PROJECT MEET UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

As part of the implementation process of the Partnership for Enhanced and Blended Learning in West Africa (PEBL-WA) which was awarded to the University in November 2021, the UENR team on the project presented the state of the project to the Management University at a meeting held at the University Council Chamber on January 14, 2022.

Dr. Samuel Boateng, a Lecturer and one of the Blended Learning Expert led the team to make the presentation. In his briefing, Dr. Boateng noted that the project aimed at enabling UENR to attain enhanced faculty and administrative skills and to provide student-focused quality academic programmes using the blended learning approach. He added the project would add on the global call on patrons to avoid crowding admist the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Dr. Boateng, at the end of the project, the Blended Learning Experts being trained on the project are to collaborate with the Quality Assurance Directorate and Centre for Distance Education and E-learning to develop hybrid (online and Physical) courses per the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and other government educational regulatory institution.

The Ag. Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Senior Management Consultant of the project, Prof Adebayo Felix Adekoya counted on the University community to be involved in the project to make it an achievement for the UENR.

Appreciating the efforts of the team, the Registrar, Mr. Solomon Panford, Esq., APR, on behalf of management expressed full support towards the execution of the project and its sustainability thereof. Also in attendance was Prof Adebayo Felix Adekoya, Senior Management Consultant of the project; and other members of the project who joined via zoom.
