Mr Isaac Asare-Aboagye is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani in the Bono region of Ghana. He is in the department of Languages and General Studies, Schools of Management Studies and Law. He holds Master of Philosophy in Arts and Culture, Master of Arts in Arts and Culture, Bachelor of Education in Music all from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana and Post-Secondary Certificate ‘A’ 3-Year from Berekum Training College. Mr Asare-Aboagye has taught at the Basic, College and University levels in the Ghana’s education sector. He has also held the position of Cultural Coordinator at the Municipal Education Directorate, Berekum. Apart from his experience as educationist, he worked with the Ghana Statistical Service in 2010 Population and Housing Census as a Field Officer. He serves Music Examiner for West African Examination Council and Team Member in Designing Performing Arts Modules for Colleges of Education in Ghana.
His expertise in Music Education and his ability to form the Traditional Dance Troupe distinguished him from others. His research focuses on Traditional Music, Children folk songs and integrating folk music in music education curriculum. He is innovative, creative, good team player and organiser.
