ASSISTANT LECTURER
Engineering
Daniel Kwasi Ansah is an Assistant Lecturer in the Mechanical and Manufacturing Department
at the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani. He holds a Master of Technology in
mechanical engineering, and currently pursuing an MPhil in Automotive Engineering at the
University of Education, Winneba, College of Technology – Kumasi. He also holds a Bachelor of
Technology Degree in Automobile Engineering and a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical
Engineering (Automobile Option) from KNUST and Cape Coast Polytechnic respectively.
He worked with the Ghana Education Service as a subject teacher at the Junior High and Senior
High Schools and also as a Head of Technical Department, Oguaa Senior Technical School,
Cape Coast from 1998 to 2021. He taught several courses at Senior High levels. The courses he
taught for the past seven years at the Senior High Level include Auto Mechanics Technology,
Metal Work Technology and Technical Drawing.
His students especially in Auto Mechanics constantly recorded 100 percent pass between A1 to
C6 in the WASSCE results. The 2020 WASSCE results for Auto Mechanics saw an excellent
performance where 14 had A1, 5 B2 and 1 B3 out of the 20 students.
His career objective is to train and equip students with the requisite skills and knowledge to meet
the human resource needs for modern industry and to carry out researches to help address
challenges affecting Ghana’s Technical Education and industry.
His research interests are in the areas of Service Quality of Automotive Repair Industry, Fuel
Quality for Internal Combustion Engines and Alternative Fuel for Motor Vehicles and its Impact
on Engine Performance and the Environment.
His projection for the next five years is to earn my PhD in Automotive engineering and carry out
novel research to fill the gaps in our automotive sector.
Daniel Kwasi Ansah is happily married with four lovely boys.
