PROFILE OF DR. (MED.) SOLOMON FOFIE
Dr. (Med.) Solomon Fofie is an accomplished and dedicated medical professional with extensive managerial and leadership experience in Health Service Delivery.
Currently serving as the Director of Health Services at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani, Ghana, he has been instrumental in the development and expansion of the University’s Health Services. With a proactive and innovative approach, Dr. (Med.) Fofie has successfully facilitated key initiatives, such as the registration of the University Clinic with National Health Regulatory Bodies, recruitment of highly qualified medical staff, and the proposal for expanding the clinic’s capacity.
His achievements also include the establishment of a functional pharmacy and laboratory, the development of a COVID-19 response plan, and the extension of health services to surrounding communities.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to improving healthcare delivery, enhancing infrastructure, and fostering partnerships with governmental health bodies.
His educational background includes a Master of Public Health from the Catholic University College of Ghana and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
