Nana Ekow Nkwa Sey is an accomplished engineer specializing in Aerospace Engineering with a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering Management. Currently serving as the Ground Systems Manager at the Earth Observation Research & Innovation Centre (EORIC) of the University of Energy & Natural Resources (UENR), Sey is responsible for overseeing all existing infrastructure and ground stations. In addition to his technical role, he leads all activities related to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and actively contributes as a member of the Projects & Proposals, as well as the Training Programs, Short Courses, Workshops & Seminars committees.

Sey has played a pivotal role in various projects, including the Carbon Flux Tower Project and the development of the Advanced Virtual Fire Information Application for farmers. His expertise extends to facilitating training programs and workshops encompassing drone flight and operations, data science, python programming, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Recognized for his commitment to professional development, Sey holds the position of Treasurer at the Bono and Ahafo Chapter of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE).

His solution-oriented approach, dedication to knowledge acquisition, and emphasis on leveraging technology for problem-solving underscore Nkwa’s steadfast commitment to serving humanity.
