Thirty-five (35) students of the University of Energy and Natural Resources have been awarded various categories of the Baidoo Scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic year, with all beneficiaries receiving full payment of their scholarship packages.
The scholarship application process opened in June 2025 and attracted more than 200 applications from students across different academic programmes in the university. Eligibility for the scholarship required applicants to maintain a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 and demonstrate genuine financial need.
Following a thorough review of the applications, forty (40) shortlisted candidates were interviewed. After the interview process, thirty-five (35) students were selected as beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme.

The scholarship ranges from a minimum of GHC 1,000.00 to a maximum of GHC 4,500.00, depending on the category of support granted to each student.
The scholarship programme is proudly sponsored by Baidoo Hostels as part of its commitment to supporting education and student welfare.
The Baidoo Scholarship is an initiative of Dr. Anthony Baidoo and Mrs. Ellen Baidoo, who serve as a Lecturer and an Assistant Registrar, respectively, at the University of Energy and Natural Resources. The initiative reflects their dedication to investing in the future of young people through education, guided by the principle of “investing in tomorrow today for God and Country.”
This year marks the fourth consecutive year that students of UENR have benefited from the Baidoo Scholarship. Since its inception, a total of one hundred and five (105) students have received support under the scheme. Some former beneficiaries are currently pursuing further studies abroad, while others are gainfully employed in various sectors of the economy.
The scholarship continues to play an important role in supporting academically promising but financially challenged students to pursue their education and achieve their professional aspirations.
