Gertrude Sefa Boakye had her senior high school education at Elite College, Kumasi, between 2010 and 2013. After senior high school, she attended Sunyani Technical University between 2014-2017 and 2017-2019, where she obtained a Higher National Diploma (Purchasing and Supply) and a Bachelor of Technology (Procurement and Supply Chain Management), respectively. In June 2025, she obtained a Master of Science (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. In terms of professional qualification, she is a Chartered Procurement and Supply Professional of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. Ms Gertrude Boakye undertook internship training at the Seventh-day Adventist Hospital, Sunyani, during her studies at Sunyani Technical University. She did her national service with the Centre for Climate Change and Gender Studies (3CGS) of the University of Energy and Natural Resources. She was appointed as a Senior Procurement Assistant by the University of Energy and Natural Resources in February 2021. She was promoted to Principal Procurement Assistant in April 2026.
In terms of professional qualification, she is a Member(MCIPS) of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. She is also a Member (MCIPS) of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
Ms Gertrude Sefa Boakye has attended several seminars/workshops/training programmes. Her research interests include Material Handling and Cost Reduction in Public Institutions, the effect of material cost reduction on the performance of public institutions, and Negotiation as a cost reduction technique in material procurement.
