HOW TO APPLY

All prospective applicants must read the Application Guidelines & Entry Requirements attached on Programme Requirements, How to Apply, and any other important information about the University.  Prospective applicants must only begin the application process after carefully reading the instructions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (Summary)

  1. SSSCE holders with credit passes (A-D) in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies plus credit passes (A-D) in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study with an aggregate score of 24 or better.
  2. WASSCE holders with credit passes (A1-C6) in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies plus credit passes (A1-C6) in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study with an aggregate score of 36 or better.
  3. GENERAL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE (GBCE) holders with credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
  4. ADVANCED LEVEL holders with credit in at least Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English and Mathematics, plus at least two passes in the subjects relevant to the programme of study.
  5. FOREIGN APPLICANTS who have any of the above qualifications or their equivalences from an accredited/recognized institution. Email  admissions@uenr.edu.gh and receive details for the online application.
  6. Other qualifications acceptable for consideration include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, American Grade 13 Examinations and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels).
  7. Mature Applicants must: be at least 25 years old and show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth; pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by the institution itself (English Language, Mathematics and an Aptitude Test); possess SSSCE/WASSCE, Teacher’s Cert. ‘A’ or NVTI/NABPTEX Certificates.

PLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY

Final Year students who will be writing their WASSCE from August to October 2022 can also apply. Such applicants must select “Awaiting Results” in place of the grade in the online application portal.

All applicants are required to complete the online application registration at https://admissions.uenr.edu.gh/ using the Voucher Number and PIN.

A copy of completed online application forms together with certified copies of certificates/result slips and copies of birth certificates (Not Returnable) are to be submitted by POST to:

  1. Masters Programmes: at the time of application, candidates must be graduates of this University or any other recognized University and shall normally have obtained a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) degree in the relevant field.
  2. PhD Programmes: candidates applying for Doctor of Philosophy degree must have a Masters degree or its equivalent from a recognized Institution and shall submit evidence of adequate training and ability to undertake the proposed programme.

 

PLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY

Deadline for the submission of application forms is December 31, 2022.  

Once the process has been completed, candidates must print out three (3) copies of the completed application form from the portal and submit together with all the following relevant documents (certified copies of all certificates, original copy of transcript(s), two sealed referee reports, Research Proposal ) by courier to the address provided below:

All applicants should purchase an Online application e-voucher and APPLY ONLINE. Applicants should log-in onto admissions.uenr.edu.gh and follow carefully the instructions.

SUBMISSION OF COPIES OF COMPLETED ONLINE APPLICATION FORMS

Applicants should submit their completed Application Documents (two copies of completed online Application forms submitted with two copies of result slips, certificates, transcripts and any relevant documents). The completed application documents should reach the Centre for Distance Education and E-learning.

NOTE

Photocopies of the pin and serial numbers are to be kept for reference purposes.

A Programme would ONLY be mounted upon successful recruitment of a minimum number of qualified applicants (students) as agreed by the University Management.

Facilitation would be a blend of traditional face-to-face and online sessions on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)

Note: The University has the right to revise the admission requirements at any time when it becomes necessary.
