 LECTURER WINS SECOND HIGHEST SCOPUS JOURNAL PUBLISHER, University of Energy and Natural Resources - Sunyani

A Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and Extension of the School of Agriculture and Technology (SoAT) at the Dormaa Campus, Dr. Bismark Amfo has received an award of   honour and recognition in a form of citation for placing second in the just ended 2020/2021 Annual Research Awards and Recognition of the School.

The award is an initiative of the Dean for the School headed by Dr Richard Kwasi Bannor, to challenge the teaching staff on the need to take research publications seriously.

Presenting the Citation to Dr Amfo, the Dean congratulated and commended the awardee for his pro-activeness, determination, dedication and hard work. He also called on him not to relent in his efforts with a call on his colleague lecturers to consider publishing their journals in Scopus, this he posited that , Scopus Index Journal is a globally recognized and accredited journal , adding that  though not 100% , journals that appear there are mostly  about 98% credible .

Dr Amfo in receiving the citation thanked the Dean for his mentorship and expressed his profound gratitude to his Department. He called on his colleagues to consider collaborating to come out with very good journals. This he believes will lift the name of the School of Agriculture and UENR high globally.

Dr. Bismark Amfo holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics, MPhil Agricultural Economics and BSc. Agribusiness. His research interest areas are agricultural labour and migration studies.
