As part of efforts to expand the infrastructure of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, a Board Member from Coral Reef Innovation Hub, Madam Boahemaa Ntim has engaged the University Management in the establishment of Digital Laboratories on campus to enhance teaching and learning.

Explaining the Digital Lab project to the Management, Madam Boahemaa Ntim said in line with the Government of Ghana’s flagship programme to digitize educational institutions, Coral Reef Innovation Hub seeks to revolutionize education in Africa by providing cutting-edge technology and training programs that equip students and teachers with the skills necessary for the jobs of the future. By fostering innovation, accessibility, collaboration, empowerment, and excellence, the company aims to create a world where all students have the opportunity to thrive in the digital age.

According to her, the digital laboratories would introduce lecturers and students to artificial intelligence technology, enabling them to have blended teaching and learning experiences where practical sessions can be conducted virtually as AI technologies. She added that the project also offers beneficiary institutions the opportunity to purchase laptops with preloaded study content and a discounted MTN SIM to access the internet. She was positive that the presence of the labs on campus would expand the training capacity beyond the borders of the University.
