GRASAG, SRC Pay Courtesy Call to Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II

The leadership of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) and the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) paid a courtesy call on Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II, the Dormaahene and Chairman of the UENR Governing Council, at his Palace in Dormaa Ahenkro. The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between student leadership and the University’s governing body while also acknowledging the remarkable achievements of the distinguished Traditional ruler.

During the engagement, the student leaders, led by Mr. Emmanuel Botchway, President of GRASAG, and Mr. Abdulai Adjei Zakaria, SRC President, formally congratulated Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II on his appointment as Chairman of the Governing Council as well as his elevation to the esteemed position of a Court of Appeal Judge. They expressed their confidence in his leadership and highlighted the pride his accomplishments bring to the University community.

In his response, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II warmly welcomed the executives of GRASAG and SRC, reaffirming his commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the quality of education at UENR. He emphasized his readiness to work closely with both student leaders and University Management to advance the institution’s development agenda. He further disclosed that discussions are currently underway with university authorities regarding key infrastructure development projects aimed at improving facilities on campus.

The Chairman also assured the student leadership of his continuous support for student-centered activities that contribute to creating a conducive academic environment.

As a demonstration of his commitment to improving sanitation across the University, he pledged to donate 120 dustbins to both the Sunyani and Dormaa campuses.
