The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) chapter of the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) has commissioned its office at a short ceremony held at the university campus.
The establishment of the office was initiated by successive executives of the association over the past years and had it completed by the current administration.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Harrison K. Dapaah, in a short address to grace occasion, on behalf of the University management commended leadership of GRASAG-UENR for the feat and stressed the need for institutional harmony between management and postgraduate students. He highlighted that the office will go a long way to help the association to advance its activities and programs.
The President of GRASAG-UENR, Mr. Gideon Ofosu-Peasah in a brief statement, acknowledged the efforts of previous executives of the association for championing the institution of the office. He added that the opening of the office is essential to executing effective daily administrative tasks, maintaining records, among other activities of the association to achieve its goals.
Former executive officers of the association were honoured with a citation each for their hard work towards the association and the university at large.
Present at the commissioning ceremony were the Dean, School of Graduate Studies, Prof. John K. M. Kuwornu; the Registrar, Mr Solomon Panford; the Immediate Past President of GRASAG-UENR, Mr. Dickson Kyere-Duah; the UENR alumni President, Mr. Lewis Ofori Amankona as well as other management members.
