The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Alumni Association has donated 55 buckets of paint to the University Management to support the ongoing University Face-lift Project aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appeal and improving the physical environment of the University. The donation was received by the University Management led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Elvis Asare-Bediako, on Monday, 3rd August 2026 at the forecourt of the University Administration Block.
Presenting the items on behalf of the Alumni Association, the Global Alumni Chairperson, Ms. Janat Issifu, said the gesture reflects the Association’s commitment to contributing to the growth and development of UENR. She noted that the donation represents a shared responsibility among alumni to preserve and improve the environment that nurtured them, adding that the items would support the renovation of selected university buildings as part of efforts to create a more attractive and conducive campus environment for students, staff and visitors.
Ms. Issifu emphasized that alumni engagement goes beyond financial contributions, highlighting the importance of mentorship, career guidance, networking opportunities and other initiatives that strengthen the relationship between graduates and their alma mater.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the University Management, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Elvis Asare-Bediako, expressed appreciation to the Alumni Association for the gesture and its continued commitment to supporting the development of UENR. He acknowledged the significant role alumni play in institutional advancement and encouraged graduates to continue partnering with the University through initiatives that support infrastructure development, student empowerment, research and innovation.
The Head of Advancement and Alumni Relations, Mr. James Clarke Hayford, commended the Alumni Association for demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and commitment towards the growth of the University. He noted that sustained alumni involvement remains critical to strengthening UENR’s reputation and creating opportunities for current and future generations of students.
The donation forms part of activities marking the 2026 Alumni Month celebration and underscores the Association’s commitment to supporting UENR through strategic partnerships, mentorship, scholarships, career development initiatives and projects that contribute to institutional growth.
