The Chairman of the University Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II, Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area and President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, has pledged One Million Ghana Cedis (GH₵1,000,000) to support the development of the UENR Dormaa Campus.
The pledge was announced during the 10th Congregation Ceremony of UENR, held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, and was met with loud applause from members of the University Council, management, faculty, students, and invited guests.
In his address, the Council Chairman reaffirmed his strong commitment to the growth and sustainability of the University, describing UENR as a strategic institution for national development, innovation, and human capital advancement.
He noted that his support for the Dormaa Campus dates back to its establishment, during which period he made his private hotel facility available to the University to enable academic activities to commence. He further disclosed that he had allocated approximately 2,000 acres of land to the University to facilitate future expansion and long-term infrastructural development of the campus.
The pledge of GH₵1 million reinforces Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II’s continued dedication to strengthening UENR and ensuring the sustained growth of the Dormaa Campus as a centre of academic excellence.
