As part of efforts to strengthen community relations, the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has donated branded T-shirts to selected host communities to enhance institutional visibility and sensitise the public on the University’s 2025/2026 admissions.
A total of approximately 2,600 branded T-shirts were distributed across schools, orphanages, markets, and taxi stations within the Sunyani, Berekum, Odumase, Nsoatre, and Dormaa townships in December 2025 and February 2026.
Speaking during the presentation, the Chairman of the Donation Committee, Mr. Richard Twum Barimah, indicated that the initiative forms part of the University’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and its commitment to deepening relationships with host communities. He noted that the gesture would further imprint the University’s presence in the minds of community members.
Mr. Barimah also used the opportunity to encourage parents and prospective students to consider enrolling in UENR programmes, emphasising that the University produces competitive graduates well-positioned for the job market.

Beneficiary institutions included Twene Amanfo Senior High School, Notre Dame Girls’ Senior High School, Sunyani Senior High School, Odomaseman Senior High School, UENR Basic School, Sacred Heart Senior High School, Kyem Amponsah Senior High School, Dormaa Senior High School, Berekum Senior High School, and Presbyterian Senior High School, as well as Fiapre Market, Sunyani Market, Sunyani Taxi Station, Hanukah Children’s Home, and the UENR Dormaa Campus.
Representatives of the beneficiary institutions and organisations expressed their appreciation to UENR for the gesture and pledged to strengthen their relationship with the University.
