Ing. Dr. Emmanuel K. Nyantakyi, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani was on Friday 26th March, 2021 elected the Regional Chairman for Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions at the just ended 51 st Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) at IDL Conference Centre, KNUST-Kumasi.
He succeeded another UENR staff in the person of Ing. Dr. Eric Ofosu-Antwi who served as Regional Chairman for six (6) consecutive years.
Ing. Dr. Nyantakyi was also presented with a Presidential Award for his selfless commitment and meritorious service to the GhIE.
The Local Organizing Committee for the conference also presented an award for service to him. As the Immediate Past Chairman for Ashanti Region, he also received an award for his dedicated and committed service to the GhIE in the Region.
