Dr. Apraku completed his HND in civil engineering at Takoradi Techinical University and
BSc in Environment and Natural Resources at Presbyterian University College both in Ghana. He had his National Service at the Urban Roads Department in the Eastern Region of Ghana and also took up a teaching and tutoring in one of the senior high schools as well. After serving for almost two years, he then went on to pursue his MSc and PhD in Aquaculture at Shanghai Ocean University, P.R. China. Dr. Apraku was also an assistant to his supervisors during his studies at Shanghai Ocean University and worked effectively and efficiently to attain 22 higher impact peer reviewed publications in journals such as Aquaculture, Aquaculture Nutrition and Aquaculture Reports, amongst many others (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Andrews-Apraku). Currently, Dr Apraku is a lecturer and Head of Department of Fisheries and Water Resources at the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Ghana. He is focused on achieving greater feats in blue economy with the aim of enhancing and improving on the current systems of Aquaculture practices specifically, feed and nutrition, engineering, ecology and the environment and climate smart aquaculture to attain a sustainable production in an attempt to support and help reduce poverty.
