Dr. Awo Boatemaa Manson Incoom is a passionate scientist and educator dedicated to understanding how climate change and human pressures impact water resources and other ecosystems. With over four years of university teaching and research experience at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), she has established herself as a leading voice in aquatic ecology, hydrology, and sustainable water resource management in Ghana.

Dr. Incoom’s work bridges the gap between scientific inquiry and practical solutions, with a particular focus on the savannas and coastal zones where climate vulnerability is most acute. Her research is animated by a central conviction: that Africa’s water and food security challenges demand innovative, locally-rooted, nature-based solutions.

Dr. Incoom’s research sits at the critical intersection of climate change, water resources, and food security. Her work addresses some of the most pressing environmental challenges facing Ghana and the broader West African region.

Beyond formal instruction, Dr. Incoom is committed to mentoring young scientists in identifying innovative approaches to environmental challenges, sustainable aquaculture and food security. She believes that fostering critical thinking and creativity among students is essential for building Ghana’s future leaders.
