Ing. Dr. Benjamin Asubam Weyori is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Informatics at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Ghana. Benjamin is currently the Acting Director, Center for Distance Education and E-Learning. His tenure of office is from 1st August 2021 to 31st July 2023. He held the Acting Head position of the Department of Computer Science and Informatics from September 2017 to July 2019 and the Substantive Head, Department of Computer Science and Informatics from Aug. 2019 to July 2021.

Benjamin began his academic career as a Research Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, University for Development Studies (UDS)-Navrongo Campus and later became a Lecturer in the same Department. He joined the Faculty of Information, Communication, Science and Technology at the Catholic University College of Ghana (CUCG), Sunyani as a Lecturer in 2012 before joining the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani in January 2013.

Benjamin holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and an MPhil in Computer Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University for Development Studies, Tamale. His main research interest includes; Photonics and Fibre Technology, Computer Visions (Image Processing), Quantum Computing, Block Chain Technology, Machine Learning and Software Engineering.
