Dr. Bernice Yram Danu is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani. Dr. Danu is passionate about teaching, research, mentoring and impacting knowledge to her students.
Dr. Bernice Yram Danu received her BSc (Hons) in Physics from the Department of Physics, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi in 2011. She went on to obtain her MPhil degree and PhD in Solid State Physics from the same Department in 2015 and 2021 respectively. Her multidisciplinary topic for her PhD studies was in polymer-based nanocomposites for wastewater remediation.
Dr. Danu believes that the study of science should be interconnected with its application in the industries which will benefit the society. Dr. Danu is a Solid State Physicist with research interests in synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for solar cell application and investigating the optical and electronic properties of these nanomaterials. Her current research is in the characterization and application of bio-nanomaterials for the adsorption of organic dyes in water. She has some published work in that area of research.
Dr. Danu is a member of the Ghana Science Association.
