Dr. Charles Kwofie is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Energy and Natural Resources. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics and a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science all from the University of Ghana in the year 2022 and 2015 respectively. Charles spent 3years at the Weierstraß-Institut. für Angewandte Analysis und Stochastik in Berlin, Germany for his Ph.D research.

Charles applies Statistics and Actuarial techniques in insurance and finance. His current research is in the area of probability theory of large deviations, econometrics, heavy tail distributions and Discrete Choice Experiments.
