Surv. Diyaudeen Mahmud Khalid
(PMP, MRICS, MCIPS, ICIOB, MGhIS, MGIPS, MSc, BSc)
Diyaudeen Mahmud Khalid is a certified project manager, chartered quantity surveyor, a professional engineering technologist, and a chartered procurement specialist with over 19 years of experience in providing technical leadership in delivering consistently, effectively and sustainable results in infrastructure procurement and construction contracts management. His focus is on improving speed, reducing risk, boosting cost effectiveness, and increasing quality while aligning teams to deliver business value to clients.
Mr. Khalid holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Technology and a Master of Science in Procurement Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Mr. Khalid is a Certified Project Management Profession (PMP), a Certified Chartered Procurement and Supply Chain Professional (MCIPS), a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – UK (MRICS), a Professional Member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (MGhIS), a Chartered Member of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (MGIPS), a Professional Engineering Technologist with the Institution of Engineering and Technology – Ghana (PET.IET-GH), and an Incorporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building – UK (ICIOB).
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional project management skills, successfully leading the completion of various infrastructure programmes and projects. Notably, He has headed the completion of 28no. ultra-modern multi storey Administration and Hostel/Dormitory facilities in various second cycle and tertiary institutions in Ghana. He was a key team member in the Overall Upgrading and Modernizing of Technical and Vocational Educational Institutions in Ghana (Ghana NVTI Project ).
Mr. Khalid was the Project Manager for the Northern Zone in the Construction Supervision of the construction of 55 new Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compounds in Northern and Volta Regions under the URC/USAID Systems for Health Project in Ghana.
He was the Resident Project Manager for the upgrade of 28 facilities in selected senior high schools in 5 regions of Ghana (Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, Northern, Upper East and Upper west) for the Ministry of Education under the Secondary Education Improvement Project (SEIP).
Mr. Khalid has been a key team member for the annual procurement audits of the World Bank African Centers of Excellence (ACE) Project Centers at the University of Ghana since 2017.
Mr. Khalid was instrumental in the successful Project Completion Procurement Audit of various Bank finance Projects in Ghana.
He was part of the team that successfully conducted the Evaluation of Construction Projects in Ghana – Case 208 for the Global Fund – Office of the Inspector General.
Diyaudeen has successfully managed the construction of educational infrastructure under the “Schools Under Trees (244 and 457) and Emergency Intervention (189 and 175) Programme” of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) in the Upper East and Northern Regions respectively from initiation to closeout.
He provides excellent contract administration and management on construction programmes and projects with focus on ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
He has a track record of effectively managing contracts for major international donor-funded (USAID and the World Bank) projects in the construction sector.
With a firm understanding and appreciation of public sector procurements, Mr. Khalid provides expert advice on project risks, cost impacts and evaluation on projects, and transaction advisory services for financial institutions and clients across the country.
Mr. Khalid demonstrates strong leadership skills, coaching and mentoring teams to ensure greater productivity and efficiency. He provide hands-on support to help clients plan, develop, manage, and implement infrastructure projects, aligning them with their budgets and long-term development goals.
His core skills include leadership, contract negotiations, quality assurance, effective communication, and strong peoples management. Khalid is known for his ability to solve practical problems, multitask efficiently and work well under pressure.
