Dr. Francis Douglas Appiah holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in French and Francophone Studies. He has extensive experience in teaching and research, stemming from many years of teaching both at the senior high school level and at the university.

He conducts research in feminism in both Anglophone and Francophone literature, oral literature, pragmatics, and onomastics. He has attended a number of international conferences, at which he has presented papers in these fields.
