Dr. Justice Boateng Dankwah is a senior lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Sciences, where he teaches courses in marketing and entrepreneurship. He holds a PhD in Business and Management (Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management) from the KNUST School of Business, a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration (Marketing), both from the University of Ghana Business School.
As an experienced academic with over seven years of university-level teaching, Dr. Dankwah has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in marketing and entrepreneurship. His teaching philosophy is centered on fostering critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual curiosity. He adopts an experiential approach to teaching, integrating real-time digital tools and global case studies to equip students with the skills and mindset needed to navigate the complexities of modern business environments.
Dr. Dankwah’s research focuses on contemporary issues at the intersection of marketing and entrepreneurship. His current research explores the influence of dual embeddedness on entrepreneurial behavior, the transition from informal to formal enterprises, and the tacit transfer of entrepreneurial knowledge from migrants and its implications for artisan entrepreneurship and SMEs. He is also exploring emerging topics such as the application of generative AI in marketing and the impact of the digital divide on SME innovation.
Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Dankwah actively contributes to the academic community. He serves as a reviewer for several internationally reputable journals, including SN Social Sciences and Cogent Business and Management, among others. He has also participated in and presented papers at several international conferences.
