Dr. Justice Boateng Dankwah is a senior lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Sciences, where he teaches courses in marketing and entrepreneurship. He holds a PhD in Business and Management (Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management) from the KNUST School of Business, a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration (Marketing), both from the University of Ghana Business School.
As an experienced academic with several years of university-level teaching and research, Dr. Dankwah has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in marketing and entrepreneurship. His teaching philosophy is centered on critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual curiosity. He adopts an experiential approach to teaching, and integrates real-time digital tools in his teaching. He utilizes global case studies to equip students with the skills and mindset needed to navigate the complexities of modern business environments.
Dr. Dankwah’s research focuses on contemporary issues at the intersection of marketing and entrepreneurship. His current research explores the influence of dual embeddedness on entrepreneurial behaviour, the transition from informal to formal enterprises, and the tacit transfer of entrepreneurial knowledge from migrants and its implications for businesses. He is also exploring emerging topics such as the application of generative AI in marketing and the impact of the digital divide on SME innovations.
Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Dankwah actively contributes to the academic community. He serves as a reviewer for several internationally reputable journals, including SN Social Sciences and Cogent Business and Management, among others.
