After completing his Masters programme, Paul Adjei Kwakwa was appointed as a Teaching Assistant with the Department of Economics, University of Ghana in 2010. In 2011, He joined the Presbyterian University College, Ghana as an Economics Lecturer. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, Ghana where he teaches economics and economics-related subjects. His research interests focus on economic growth, economic development, and environmental and energy/resource economics. His recent articles have been published in the Journal of Energy and Development, OPEC Energy Review, The International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy, Poverty & Public Policy. and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews.
