Francis Boafo Asamoah is a Senior Technician at the Department of Ecotourism, Recreation and Hospitality. He is a Wildlife ecologist and conservationist with expertise in wildlife ecology and conservation biology. His research focuses on Species & Habitat Ecology, Conservation Biology, Ecosystems and Human well-being.

In addition, he is interested in Range Management and Ecological Economics. His recent research activities mostly centre on Aves, mammals and invertebrates. Francis is a member of the African Amphibian Working Group, Global Youth Biodiversity Network, Alliance for Pangolin Conservation and others. He is the present Youth Task Force Representative for the International Forestry Students Association, (IFSA) on the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
