Ing. Dr. Kofi Asamoah Adu-Poku is a senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the School of Engineering, University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Ghana. He holds a Ph.D. in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from the National Research Center of Pumps, Jiangsu University, China. Dr. Adu-Poku earned his M.Phil. and M.Sc. degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He also holds a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from KNUST and a Diploma in Education from the University of Education, Winneba. He is a Professional Engineer (PE) with the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) and a member of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG). Before joining UENR, he was a full-time lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sunyani Technical University.

Dr. Adu-Poku has over 13 years of teaching and research experience in academia and industry. At the university, he teaches courses such as Introduction to Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics I and II, Fluid Mechanics and Applications, Fluid Machinery, Behavior of Real Fluids, Heat Transfer, and others. His scientific expertise and research interests lie in numerical simulations, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), turbulence modeling, flow in pumps, pressure fluctuations, vortex behavior, design optimization, thermodynamics, heat transfer enhancement, and renewable energy systems.

Dr. Adu-Poku has participated in numerous research conferences and workshops locally and internationally. He has published over 24 peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals indexed in Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. His works have appeared in journals such as Energy Report (Elsevier), International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer (Elsevier), Scientific African (Elsevier), Journal of Power and Energy (Sage), Physics of Fluids (AIP), Advances (AIP), and Combustion Science and Technology (Taylor and Francis), among others. His publications have received over 350 citations.

Dr. Adu-Poku has served on various committees at the university, within the professional sector, and internationally. He is a reviewer for several internationally peer-reviewed scientific journals. Currently, he serves as the postgraduate coordinator for his department.
