Kelvin Kubi Appiah is a highly motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional currently pursuing his chartered accountancy qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) at Level 3. He holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a BEd in Accounting from the Catholic University of Ghana. His academic background, coupled with his practical experience in auditing and accounting, has equipped him with a strong foundation in financial management and a commitment to professional excellence.
Kelvin’s career has been marked by increasing responsibility at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR). Beginning with his National Service and subsequent voluntary work as an Accounting Assistant, he has steadily progressed to his current role as Principal Auditing Assistant. His experience encompasses a wide range of financial functions, including preparing financial documents, processing payments, conducting audits, and managing welfare scheme finances. He also contributes to the university’s financial health by inspecting procured goods, pre-auditing payment vouchers and casual payroll. His involvement extends beyond routine tasks, as demonstrated by his contributions to committees such as the 3rd Transformational Dialogue on Small Scale Mining, the Curriculum Development for the GSDF Project and the Constitutional Review Committee of the Finance, Audit and Procurement Welfare Scheme, (UENR).
Kelvin is adept at using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and possesses strong communication and customer service skills. He is eager to leverage his skills and knowledge to contribute to the growth and development of an organization, ultimately achieving his goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant. He is a team player, dedicated to accuracy, and committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in the field of finance.
