Dr Maanikuu P. M. Izideen holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Selcuk University, Konya-Turkey. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and Extension, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani, Ghana. His research focuses on Agribusiness Management, Agricultural and Rural Development, Women in Agriculture, Climate Change and Efficiency analysis. He teaches in subject areas including Strategic Management, Production and operations management and Management of Farm Business.
Dr. Izideen has a strong background in Economics, Strategic and Agribusiness Management. Value chain and Market analysis, Econometrics and Research Methodology. He is an honest and dedicated academic with excellent inter-personal skills and a great team player.
Other key competences of Dr Izideen include Agri-business Development and Promotion: Financial management, Market orientation and Market access, Entrepreneurial Skill Development and Microcredit Assessment for SMEs, Business Development for SMEs on Agriculture Value Chains and Market Access, Socio-Economic Research (Baseline surveys and Project Evaluations), Information and Knowledge Database Management.
Dr Izideen holds an Mphil in Agricultural Economics from University of Ghana, Legon (2008-2011) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Agriculture Technology from the University for Development Studies, Nyankpala (2002-2006). He has worked with both local and international development organisations including the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Abt Associates, Starshea Ltd among others.
