“Juliet Benewaa Assumeng is a holder of Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast. She possesses Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the Catholic University College of Ghana. She also obtained High National Diploma Certificate in Secretarialship and Management Studies from Sunyani Polytechnic with Best Female Graduating Student in 2010 as well as Diploma in Business Studies (Secretarial Option) in 2004/2008.
Juliet is a Senior Course Tutor and a Project Supervisor at the University of Cape Coast College of Distance Education, Sunyani Centre in the Department of Management and Human Resource. Some of the courses she handles are; Training and Development, Leadership and Emotional Intelligence, Leadership and Organizational Development, Employment Law and Sales Management.
She has successfully co-authored two peer-reviewed academic papers in prestigious international journals. These papers are Effectiveness of Recruitment and Selection Practices in Public Sector Higher Education Institutions: Evidence from Ghana which was published in the European Scientific Journal in 2018 and Training and Professional Development Practices for Employees in the Ghana Education Service published in 2019 in the International Journal of Science and Research.
Juliet formerly worked at the Regional Education Office from 1st September 2004 as Personal Secretary and subsequently appointed as head of Registry Unit in November, 2017 and awarded Best Worker in 2018. While there, she attended series of workshops and among them are Continuing Professional Development programme organized by Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance, the New Staff Appraisal/Performance Management Policy, Payroll and Budgetary Control Process organized by Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, Project Management Training, Leadership Training, Public Sector Salaries Administration and Strategic Pension Fund Management and Management of Teaching and Learning Activities.
Juliet also organized and facilitated number of In-service training for both teaching and non-teaching staff in the Ghana Education Service in areas of Emerging Educational Policies, Professional Ethics, Filing System, Job Description/Specification and Human Resource Practices.
She is currently on the rank of Junior Assistant Registrar and in charge of Staff Training and Development at the Human Resources Division, UENR.
In areas of her competencies are; a team player, ability to work hard with little or no supervision, result oriented, welcome new ideas and challenges as well as a faster learner. Among her skills are; leadership skills, good communication skills, Interpersonal skills and Presentation skills.”
